Calling all film-making fans and editing enthusiasts…

We want to make a film!

As the Town will not be able to celebrate the switching on of the 2020 Christmas Lights, in the usual way, we want to showcase Prudhoe and celebrate Christmas by ‘video’.

This is not the Council’s forte, but we know there will be many out there who have the skills and drive to do this.

We envisage a video that showcases the town’s Christmas Lights displays, the sensational shop windows on Front Street and elsewhere, maybe some special offers from our local traders and perhaps school choirs – there will of course be more that we haven’t thought of!

Whatever festive fun, community and enterprise is going on in the town, we would like it to be included in a celebratory Christmas collation.

The video will be shared on the Council’s website and Facebook page so would need all required permissions and rights.  You will also need the technical capabilities and time to deliver the project in full.

As this is a creative project, we would like to hear expressions of interest in the first instance.  Your expression of interest (EOI) should detail relevant skills, technical capabilities, local knowledge and convey enthusiasm.  It would also be helpful to include a brief statement of how you would hope to deliver the project.

The Council will consider expressions of interest in advance of November, and following a shortlist, ask for a costed proposal.

The run-up to Christmas usually starts in the middle of November, lights will be on from w/c 23rd November, so the schedule is tight, but achievable.

All expressions of interest should be received at the Town Council office by Friday 16th October and will be dealt with in confidence.  Please email
