Green Flag Award for Eastwoods Park – top marks for community engagement
Well done Eastwoods Park for achieving a Green Flag Award – a first for Prudhoe!
The Green Flag Award® scheme recognises and rewards well managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
At a meeting last night, Prudhoe Town Council was delighted to learn from Cllr Russ Greig, Trustee of Friends of Eastwoods Park, that the park had been awarded a Green Flag, and that community engagement received top marks.
It was agreed that the award was a huge achievement for the park and for Prudhoe and that everyone involved should be very proud.
