Floral Bedding
All of the formal floral bedding displays in the town are managed by Prudhoe Town Council, with summer and spring planting.
As you enter the town from the east, you can appreciate formal displays beside Prudhoe Golf Club, on your right, and opposite The Falcon on your left.
As you continue through the town there are displays on both sides as you pass Prudhoe Waterworld, then, at ‘The Glade’ in the centre of town and opposite The Syntax, on the left at the Road Ends toilets. Here, the east-facing bed adjacent to Prudhoe Methodist Church is enjoyed as a themed bed each year, often a major talking point. In the past we have had a Dr Who dalek, a rainbow, a poppy, the Methodist Church symbol and in 2019 we have the Rotary Club wheel.
As you continue west and leave the town centre, there are beds at Beech Grove South on your left, and then as you enter Mickley, there are formal beds on your right at the entrance to Riding Dene.
Prudhoe is well-known for its annual floral displays which the council put out to tender every three years.
