Public Toilets
Prudhoe Town Council became the owner of the Road Ends toilets in June 2018 when they were transferred to us from Northumberland County Council.
The toilets are situated on West Road, at the bottom of South Road, opposite The Syntax Public House.
These are the only public toilets in the town, excluding those within the Spetchells Centre and those at Prudhoe Waterworld; the Town Council was keen to protect them.
Prior to the transfer, the Town Council was delighted to receive £5,000 from local tissue manufacturer Essity towards the renovation of the toilets, in addition to a lifetime supply of toilet rolls.
Northumberland County Council managed the project to bring the toilets back to an acceptable standard and they are now maintained as such by local cleaning company Car Fresh Valeting.
Following the re-opening of the toilets after the pandemic, Prudhoe Town Council invested in no-touch taps and flushing mechanism. The Council also altered the frequency of cleaning to twice a day.
