The Green Belt is a policy which aims to protect the areas around our towns and cities from development.
However, we know very little about how these Green Belt open spaces are used by people in the North-East and the potential benefits it provides.
Where do you go in the Green Belt? Why do you go there? And what makes these places special or important to you? What barriers are there to its wider use?
Northumbria University are conducting research and need your help. If you would like to contribute please click here.
This survey is part of a wider research project investigating what ecological and environmental benefits green belts provide to people.
