Prudhoe Celebrates Armed Forces Day Parade Saturday 29th June 2024

Prudhoe marked a significant occasion with the town’s first Armed Forces Day Parade, organised by the Prudhoe Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club. The event brought together veterans, service members, and the community to honour the dedication and sacrifices of the Armed Forces.

Mayor Councillor Angie Scott proudly stood alongside the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, expressing her heartfelt gratitude to the veterans in attendance. In her address, Mayor Scott said, “As Mayor of Prudhoe, it is an absolute honour to stand before you today and extend my deepest gratitude to our veterans. Your courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our country have safeguarded the freedoms and values we hold.”
 

Mayor Scott continued, “Today, and every day, we honour your service and the immense sacrifices you and your families have made. Thank you for your bravery, your strength, and your unyielding devotion to our nation. Your legacy of service and sacrifice will forever be a beacon of inspiration to us all.”

The parade showcased the pride and solidarity of the Prudhoe community, highlighting the contributions of its veterans and active service members.
