Prudhoe Town Council Continues Investment in Highfield Park

Prudhoe Town Council is pleased to announce further improvements to Highfield Park, continuing its commitment to enhancing one of the town’s valued community spaces for residents of all  ages.

Following the recent installation of a new accessible footpath, south of the skate park linking the eastern pathway to the car park has improved access throughout the park for wheelchair users, pushchairs, and those with limited mobility.

The Council has now installed a new youth shelter. The shelter provides a safe, welcoming space where young people can meet and socialise while enjoying the park.

These improvements form part of the Council’s ongoing investment in Highfield Park, ensuring it remains an inclusive, accessible, and enjoyable destination for everyone in the community.

Councillor Dot Dickinson Mayor of Prudhoe Town Council, said:-

“Highfield Park is an important community asset, and we are committed to making it a space that everyone can enjoy. The new accessible footpath has already made a real difference for many visitors, and the addition of the youth shelter provides a dedicated space for young people to meet and spend time outdoors. We are delighted to continue investing in facilities that benefit the whole community.”
