Prudhoe Town Council Welcomes New Councillor for Castle & Eltringham Ward

Prudhoe Town Council is pleased to announce that Valerie Leslie has been successfully co-opted as a Town Councillor for the Castle & Eltringham Ward. Cllr Leslie officially signed her declaration of acceptance of office at the Ordinary Council Meeting held on Thursday 25 September 2025.

Cllr Leslie brings extensive experience in the adult social care sector and a strong commitment to social quality, justice, and community service. On behalf of Prudhoe Town Council, we extend a warm welcome to Cllr Leslie and look forward to working together in the coming months as we navigate both change and new challenges.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank all candidates who stood for co-option but were not successful on this occasion. Your willingness to put yourselves forward in service of the community demonstrates a commendable sense of civic duty and commitment. A healthy democracy relies on engaged individuals like you, and your participation is greatly appreciated. We hope you will continue to remain actively involved in local matters, as there are many meaningful ways to contribute outside of elected office.
