West Northumberland Food Bank

West Northumberland Food Bank is a charity based in Hexham, providing a safety net for people in hardship throughout the area. Through the collection and distribution of food donations and other household essentials alongside support with benefits and debt problems, their aim is to help people get back on their feet.  The service is free to access and they place no limits on use.

Last year the project carried out 5075 deliveries, dispatching over 7,500 bags, provided food and essentials to 570 households, over 1250 people.  Over 310 of the households supported last year (55%) had either never used a foodbank before or hadn’t used one for a number of years.  They completed deliveries in 44 towns, villages and hamlets in our area including Hexham, Haltwhislte and Prudhoe.

If you require help from West Northumberland Food Bank please contact  either by phone, text, email or Facebook in the first instance and they will organise to support you.
