Armistice Day 11 November 2022
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them”
Mayor Councillor Bryan Futers laid a wreath on behalf of Prudhoe Town Council to commemorate the fallen, along with Margaret Wilkes on behalf of the Royal British Legion Prudhoe and District Branch Women’s Section, and Guy Opperman MP for Hexham and Prudhoe. They were joined by Prudhoe Town Councillors, Clerk to Council, County Councillor Gordon Stewart, Royal British Legion Prudhoe and District Branch members, Ex-Service Personnel, and local residents to name but a few to observe the two minutes silence at 11.00am.
