Prudhoe in Bloom Awards 2019 are a Blooming Success!

The Town Council held their Annual Prudhoe in Bloom 2019 Awards presentation in Prudhoe Parish Hall on Saturday 14th September.  Prudhoe in Bloom was an amazing success with 32 entries, including 2 new entries across all categories.

Mrs Diane Hull was delighted to collect silverware for the Best Front and the Best Rear garden in the town.  Mrs Hull’s rear garden is the one to beat as she has held onto this trophy since 2015.   Mr Adrian Porter won the Pauline Howdon Trophy for the best hanging basket in the Town, showing that no matter how small your space, you can get involved.

Red Brick House Care Home, off Front Street, won the award for the best Community Garden Project.  They have transformed their outside area to create a relaxing and welcoming space for residents and visitors.  Ball’s of Prudhoe scooped the Best Business Premises award for another year, with the Dr Syntax a very close runner-up.

Prudhoe Methodist Church were the proud winners of the Best Church Garden, admired by many travelling to Front Street via Errington Place and Highfield Middle School won the Best School Garden category, following a lot of hard work on their outdoor classroom.
